Abstracts must be submitted no later than 21 May 2025

• Abstracts must be submitted in English.

• Abstracts will be reviewed and selected for oral presentations.
  Abstracts that are not selected for oral presentation will have the opportunity to be included in the official online abstract overview.

• The final selection of oral presentations is subject to the Scientific Committee’s discretion.
• Accepted abstracts will be published in the Symposium’s abstract overview on the website.

• Withdrawal of abstracts can only be accepted if notified in writing and subsequently confirmed by the EFOA 2025 Symposium Secretariat. 

• Abstract should state briefly and clearly the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions of the work. 
• The main body of the abstract is limited to 250 words maximum (main text, excluding title, author names and affiliations, as well as funding information and references, if any). 

• You will be asked to enter the title, name(s) of author(s) and their affiliation(s) when you submit your abstract in the system.

• The presenting author must register as an active participant at the EFOA 2025 Symposium at the latest 14 days after acceptance notification of an abstract. Please be aware of the deadline for early bird tickets (1 June), if you want to take advantage of this offer. 
• The EFOA 2025 Symposium Secretariat reserves the right to exclude any abstract that is not followed by a participant registration at the latest 14 days after notification of acceptance.
• You are allowed to submit one abstract as the registered author, but can be a co-author on multiple abstracts.
• Abstract presenters will be required to attend EFOA 2025 in-person to make their presentation. Expenses associated with an abstract presentation (e.g., travel, hotel, congress registration fees, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the presenting author.

• The scientific committee will review the abstracts.
• Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be sent to submitters by late May 2025.
• It is the responsibility of all investigators that all studies are performed with respect to national legislation, international legislation and ethical guidelines both with regards to humans and/or animals. The EFOA 2025 Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject any submitted abstract that is believed to violate these principles.
• Please verify that your email address (submitter and presenting author) is correct, as it will be used for contacting you after the review process.
