Take part in the inspiring Hands-on Workshops hosted by the EFOA 2025 sponsors and gain insights into techniques and strategies within the area of advanced open abdomen. The Hands-on Workshops will take place during the lunch breaks on 28 August and 29 August. As a participant you will be able to attend one workshop per day – giving you the chance to attend two workshops in total.

Improve quality of life post-surgery for stoma patients

Join our hands-on workshop with artificial stomas and “bandaging bellies” to enhance your understanding of stoma care in practice and how to improve quality of life after surgery.

You will learn strategies for handling complex stomas with low and retracted stomas and address common complications such as bulging and hernia. We will guide you through innovative bandaging methods and showcase Coloplast’s latest technology solutions tailored for stoma patients.

This hands-on experience will ensure you are equipped with the knowledge necessary to understand changes in patient body profiles post-surgery. Elevate your practice and understand the value of creating an optimal stoma for your stoma patients by participating in this informative workshop.

Progressive Techniques for Open Abdomen Closure: A Complete Surgical Approach

Technique spotlight on managing the abdominal incision with 3M™ Prevena™ Therapy to help reduce complications
Hands-on session to allow participants to directly engage with the closure tools and methods.
